It was cheaper to get an eMachine ($349 for 3.2 GHz, 512MB RAM, 120GB  
HD, DVD/CDRW combo) and put the hard drive from the dead computer in  
there to move data over from. Problem solved. Once they're done  
salvaging info, the second internal hard drive will become a nightly  
backup drive.

Matthew, I'll still take your contact info but I have to take back  
the request for information on a used machine. They decided to go  
new, in the moment.
