The only accelerator upgrade I ever did was adding a 68030 card to an Amiga 1200. It was a little easier:

1-Remove trap door beneath computer with flathead screwdriver.
2-Position accelerator card's connection pins with pins inside the computer.
3-Push in REALLY *fear* REALLY *skin tearing* REALLY hard *prayer and whincing*.
