[DM-MUG] Indexing of the Hard Drive

It has been so long since I used Panther I can't recall...but in
Tiger, there is Spotlight which, once the drive is indexed, allows
you to quickly find almost anything. I find it incredibly easy==
there is also free Quicksilver which will index and find things, but
I use it mainly as a launcher, not searcher. There are other search
tools, some $ and some free, which do what Spotlight does.
In any event, it may take time but then once it's done if you wanted
to find something you named "silver" you could find it in 2-3
keystrokes almost instantaneously. You can also find by content and
date and type, etc.
