The Mac version of Word doesn't appear to have translation built-in.
It's probably a simple language dictionary that MS includes with XP
or Word. See the below link for a hint (search for translation):

Curiously, the article also mentions Babelfish.
There may be an obscure plug-in, or dictionary that can be used on
the Mac. It's also possible that one could "borrow" the Win version
of the dictionary--but I doubt it--and place it on the Mac. Wouldn't
be hard to test.
Have you Googled "russian translate?" There are lots of free online
translators out there. Google itself is one.
