[DM-MUG] Meetings...

I don't want to seem unduly critical, but it's difficult when lives
are so busy to make meetings a priority which have no focus, no
agenda, no reason to be there. A general meeting occasionally is
fine, but a program is a good idea since it gives people information
that allows them to decide whether to go, or not.

It might be a good idea to poll the membership and ask them what
topics, programs etc. they would like to see and then design the
meetings around them. For instance, if there were a program on
Aperture, then people who wanted help with Word could stay away, but
people who wanted to know more could decide to attend. But just
holding meetings for the sake of meetings, given all the work, groups
and family responsibilities we have [esp. in summer] means these
meetings take the lowest priority.
