[DM-MUG] Parallels and running Win [ick!]

I unfortunately am in the position of needing to run a few things on 
WIN format [one is one of those AutoRun files that runs a program 
that is a Show.EXE photo program that File Juicer can extract but not 
play and the other is some sort of DVD program I haven't yet tried] 
and so probably will break down and get either Bootcamp or 
Parallels.. What else do I need?  Do I have to get XP or some other 
Win program?
