I want to thank everyone that was at the meeting for making me
feel welcome. I also like how people was willing to share their
knowledge on a variety of different topics. This allowed me to see how
things worked in the real world and what issue people had with certain
applications and hardware.
Alan's presentation was great on Leopard and the new Mac Pro. I
learned allot about the operation system and the hardware. I really
like how people chimed in and gave their views on what was being
presented. This was very helpful to me since I am still trying to learn
about Macs.
I would love to see real world example such as how to maintain
your machine such as, what you should do to prevent issues, how to
clean the hardware without damage to it, the i-life applications and
what you can do with them and other things. I think this would be
invaluable for me to see what you can do such as create a dvd in iDVD
and such, I guess I am a more visual learner. One thing that I am
really interested in is the Bootcamp. I would love to see this
installed on a machine if possible. One thing I am interested in doing
is playing Windows based games on the Mac. I am not a big gamer, but I
do like playing from time to time. I rather have one box that can do
two things than two boxes.
I am looking forward of coming to many more meetings and if there
are other places in Des Moines that also teach this sort of stuff
please let me know so I can gain more know how when it comes to the
Mac. Thanks again for allowing me to come!
