Never believe the Web! This, by definition, means don't believe me
either :)

I had a positive feeling on this one and I was sure that I'd set one
up already. I'm over 35, though, and I forget things. Okay, what were
we talking about again...?

See this thread regarding using a 1020 on a Mac: <http://
www.macworld.com/forums/ubbthreads/showflat.php?Number=336968>

And this one: <http://forums.macosxhints.com/showthread.php?t=40933>

So, technically, it will work (YMMV), but officially HP wants Mac
users to pay more money. It's also possible that the 1018 will ride
on the same driver, but I wouldn't chance it. I'm the technical-type
and I'd probably save the money and play with it, but that's your
call. You can also find a late-model 1020 at Newegg for $117 with no
rebate (I wonder if the rebate would still apply though?): <http://
www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16828104354>.
