It might be set on "single sheet feed" rather then "tracker
feed." If it is set on single sheet then it expects a sheet
to be fed through by hand. You will need to line up a sheet
with the top of the print head.
Other possibilities are that the sensors are not registering
that there is paper in the Imagewriter. This could be
because they are dirty and need to be cleaned or because
they are no longer working.
If you have tried the sheet feeder on different settings and
cleaning the Imagewriter then it probably has a bad sensor.
If you would like a working Imagewriter then the Macs4Good
project has one you may have. It is in excellent condition,
just slightly discolored with age but working like new.
