[DM-MUG] imac + linux = issues

Our local rebuilding group- pccgs.org just received
several imac snows 600mhz/40G/256M 

Since we have no money- linux is the only legal way
we can load anything on them. Hardware works- tried
OS X 10.3 just to make sure.

I have tried Ubuntu dapper and YDL 4.1 both with video
issues. Searched on line for hours. Others have the same
problem but fixes do not solve the problem.

Anyone had this problem? Any suggestion where to look for
an answer?
