Monday is good for me.  I only have one meeting I regularly attend and it is on the first Wednesday of each month.  I did attend the Java meeting once and Sun was there demonstrating the new tools it just released for free to the public.  I went back to work and installed all of it and was up and running without knowing a thing about Java (it is so similar to C# and PHP that it's like I already knew 90% of it).  What I mean is just that one meeting was incredibly beneficial to me and having the ability to attend it was great.
