JOB SUMMARY

The Web Developer: provides hands on development expertise and guidance
from initial strategic planning / design through implementation. Produce
scalable, clean code that maintains robust application quality and
performance as well as data and systems security. Routine performance
tests and security audits of the code base as well as unit testing.
Assist in implementing and maintaining best practices and processes from
a development standpoint. In addition to code development the Web
Developer will utilize creative skills to design web sites and
applications keeping consistency in look and feel and in accordance with
BSB's image and marketing plan.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Maintain BSB's Intranet and public web sites:

1. Develop and maintain PHP and database-driven code for BSB's intranet,
public web site as well as other web-based applications as required.

2. Designs and creates computer-based, web-based or multimedia-based
layout, graphics, animation, sound and/or video content for use with
intranet and public web sites in accordance with BSB's marketing
strategies and design policies.

3. Designs web interfaces.

4. Develops layout design and concepts in accordance with BSB's
marketing strategies and design policies.

5. Ensures consistency, accuracy and compliance with required standards;

6. Proofreads copy for posting on BSB's public and internal web sites.

7. Assists in administration of web-based applications.

8. Utilizes Adobe and Macromedia tools to provide graphic design for
BSB's web sites and applications.

9. Assists in the administration of the firm's CRM, Accounting and HR
web applications.

Education: Two years computer science or related experience.
Architectural background preferred. 

Training and Experience: Two to four years experience including the
areas of web development, web design and application development.
Progressively responsible experience in the conceptualization, design,
and production of graphics, Web, and print materials; experience in a
video editing/production and/or Web development environment. 
Abilities: 

* Skilled in all areas of graphic design such as color theory and layout
as well as web programming with languages including JavaScript, HTML,
CSS (Cascading Style Sheets), PHP, XML, XHTML, SQL/MySQL and Flash as
well as open source utilities and web server technologies and others as
the firm's needs grow. 
* Web Browser and computer operating systems.
* Federal Accessibility Standards and WC3 code validation
* Macromedia Studio 8 Suite (Dreamweaver, Flash Professional, Fireworks)
as well as the Acrobat Creative Suite V2 (CS2) (Photoshop, ImageReady,
Illustrator, InDesign)
* FTP systems
* Microsoft Office suite
* Experience in data modeling and relational database design as well as
the design and programming of complex information systems.
* Knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems.
