Matt, that would be cool. I need to answer more emails :)
Claus, I'm glad you got it working. Sorry for the confusion. It's
the product of chasing too many problems at once :)

As a general rule, I define everything explicitly. The internal
domain gets defined first, then the clients we serve, then pick up
the stragglers after that. It's no wonder you don't get into this
file much, I have yet to find a client that has a full
list. Mine is pretty basic:

$ sudo cat /etc/postfix/postgrey_whitelist_clients
# postgrey whitelist for mail client hostnames
# --------------------------------------------
# put this file in /etc/postfix or specify its path
# with --whitelist-clients=xxx
mydomain.tld
domain.us
domain.com
domain.net
So I'm already happily running postfix with postgray for many
years. It does a great job in avoiding spam and I haven't
missed many mails.

The issue I have is that someone I now need to communicate
with uses Postini for their outbound emails. Postini
strangely tried to deliver the email exactly once. It didn't
even try sending the message from a different IP.

The true problem I guess is that I forgot about the whitelist
of postgrey. Things were just running to great for too long.
LOL! Looking at the latest release of postgrey I see an entry
for postini.com. I updated the white list
and I should be fine for the next few years until I will have
forgotten all this again.<font
