<div style="">In my case, I get the ability to run a wifi hotspot at no charge beyond the $10/mo Sprint charges me for 4G access in a market that doesn't have it.<br>
<br>
It also allows me to run Cyanogen which, with one exception, I am finding more intuitive than the interface that came with it.<br>
<br>
Also, and somewhat theoretical at this time, I get the direct access to the wifi drivers that I would need to do wireless pentesting while my laptop is doing the physical LAN. At this time though, Metasploit is not yet fully ported to Android.<br>

I'm sure there's other stuff. Maybe TJ can chime in here.<br>

Ummm...Why didnt you use <a href="http://unrevoked.com/" target="_blank">Unrevolked</a>? It took me about a minute to root my HTC Incredible. Well, I did it the old way before unrevolked but have since used them to re-root it and to turn s-off with unrevolked
forever.<br>
