Strange, I have the same problem. I just assumed the mouse was going bad. I haven't tried using a different mouse, or using the mouse with another computer. It is a Targus mouse, model PAUM004U with a Dell 1525N running Ubuntu 10.04.<br>

What happens is that a single physical click on the mouse ends up<br>

menu in an application and it'll open it and then immediately close<br>
it, because I've "clicked" again.<br>

Is this something funny with X? Is there a way to introduce a short<br>
pause in accepting mouse input after a click? I think I could deal<br>
with the annoyances there, in exchange for getting rid of the<br>
click-click.<br>
