Well, it depends on what it is you are looking for. Granted, if you only look in the Des Moines Register then yes, it looks like only Wells/Principal/Qwest etc are hiring.<br><br>Compared to last year as of this same time my opinion is that the requests for work is greater than the current work force pool.
i.e. you shouldn't have a problem finding a job in the niche that you wish. Though it may take a little digging and good old fashing networking to find the opening if your niche is highly specialized.<br><br>Besides Dice, may I suggest looking on craigslist as well? It seems a lot of the smaller companies have been posting help wanted things there because it is cheaper.
