<div>Recently I have become interested in one of these displays. I was first drawn to Apples Cinema displays but Linux support seems iffy. I just read a review of the Apples and the Ultrasharps. The displays are made by Phillips (yes the same display) and the Dell got more points for the image, and yes, the price!

<div>Justification - I have dual head because I work with more than one document at a time and swap information back and forth. I first set it up when I was getting my Master's online. Two email sites, business requirements, syllabus, forum, live chat all open at once, oh and PowerPoint for good measure. Two monitors and at least two desktops. The wide aspects with the resolution set correctly can have a webpage open, word processor, email, audio stream, calendar all open without overlapping!
