Actually, it handles it pretty well, if i recall correctly. I think we 
had 2 domains running, one for testing, one for production. Or maybe we 
had the test domain on a separate install... i don't actually remember 
it now since the initial setup of Zimbra was about 5 years ago.

Zimbra's calendaring works great, except if you have offices full of 
people that do *lots* of calendar sharing amongst themselves. Then it 
gets kind of buggy. That's actually the reason we ended up dumping 
Zimbra; because the upper levels of the administration needed 
calendaring to work perfectly with complex sharing, using Outlook as the 
client. For most people who don't have complex sharing setups, or who 
use the web client, it works perfectly. That said, we got away from 
Zimbra a couple years ago, so it might work better now. I think you can 
still download the open version of it and try playing with it for free.
