Wait, now this is weird.  If I right click on the local "Inbox" and
create a new folder, named the same as what was there before,
Evolution automatically starts filling it with the emails from before.
 No importing on my part.

But now I'm worried that it's not getting everything, or it's not the
right stuff, or...  I'll have to do some looking.
