I looked at them too, but there weren't enough advantages for me.  (ISSA
membership, on the other hand, made the cut... but they're
security-specific).

So far as Safari system goes, that IS a good price.  However, it would
be better to drop a note to your employer and see if they have an
agreement that you could ride on.  Failing that, see if they would cover
the $43/mo for the Tech Collection Library.  That would get you pretty
much everything you'd want.

I don't know if this means much but they're kinda like the IEEE of
computer science.  You may have heard of some of their groups --
SIGAPP, SIGGRAPH, SIGMM, SIGWEB, etc. -- sprinkled around in news
stories.

I've been debating on joining for a while now.  Anyone a member?
