Wow, that winning entry is awesome. I honestly can't think of a better
way or a better message to use to sell Linux.

A few years back I gave a presentation on Inkscape at the LUG meeting.
It went over very well. I tried to do it again last fall to the DSM
Web Geeks and it didn't fly. The people in the audience kept asking
"Why?" They didn't understand why I'd want to use inkscape when
Illustrator can do everything it can do and more. They didn't care
about open formats or free licensing (for them the company paid for
Adobe's Creative Suite so it was free).

Selling freedom is a big deal imho. And whatever else changes about
Linux, freedom is one thing that will be a constant.
