Sound advice, surely.  I'm coming from a Gentoo background.  But I'm
specifically looking for the hand holding experience.  Research for
one, "Will this *really* work for Grandma?"  (Dad, actually.)  For
two, I'm tired of having to actually maintain my desktop.
